United Shipping Inc., the premier Worldwide Association of Independent Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers with over 100 member companies and 200 offices announced today the appointment of Transac as its newest member. Transac is located in Mauritania on the North West coast of Africa and has a staff of more than 80, eight of which are dedicated to sales.
Transac was established in 1991 as an independent freight forwarder and customs broker and is headed by Ahmed Baba Azizi, Managing Director. They are heavily involved in the movement of freight by air, ocean and truck and have over 43,000 square meters of bonded warehouse space in Nouadhibou and Nouakchott. One of their specialties is in the fishery industry.
"Transac has gone through many changes over the past few years but continues to emphasize the importance of meeting the needs of their customers while maintaining steady growth in other areas of the logistic industry. We are an aggressive company and are always looking for more efficient ways in which to service the people in our country as well as company," said Ahmed Bazeid, Marketing Director.
