Anglia Forwarding Triumphs With Triumph -- One of Anglia’s key customers, Triumph Motorcycles benefits from the United Shipping Network. On the 1st May 2006, a new Triumph production factory opens in Thailand. With Anglia’s assistance, Mercury Logistics has secured all the shipping and customs clearances on both imports and exports in Thailand. Expected shipments are estimated at between 3 & 4000 per year when in full production.

Controlled by the Triumph corporate office in the UK, all suppliers will use United Shipping Partners. With UK shipments presently at 300 per month in and out of UK, this account should generate up to 8000 shipments per year for United Shipping Members worldwide. Approximately 21 United Shipping partners are currently involved with this one Anglia Customer, with more partner areas on the horizon.

Anglia Forwarding won this business because of the good cooperation and professionalism of the United Shipping members who gave us an excellent service over the last 3 years. Anglia, in particular Derek Moxon, has visited the majority of the suppliers in the Far East ensuring that the business was handled smoothly with our local partners.

Judy Keh of Elite Express visited the UK recently and Derek Moxon is continuing to visit partners and suppliers. For example Derek recently visited Dometrans in Italy where we will consolidate shipments from 6 suppliers to Thailand.

For Anglia to have gained and keep such a major account is not only a result of the strength of the individual United Shipping members in their location but also the cohesiveness of the United Shipping group as a whole. It shows that we can compete with the multinationals and win when we market United Shipping as a global player.
